Puttanesca sauce recalls the traditional Neapolitan recipe and is prepared with tomato pulp of Tuscan origin, Tuscan olives, capers and anchovies. The curious name of this sauce lends itself to the most amusing interpretations but it seems it was created by the owner of a brothel who prepared this quick and tasty dish to refresh his guests. This recipe finds its best expression with spaghetti and with all the pasta of durum wheat.
The sauce is ready to use and we recommend heating it slightly (without boiling it) and adding it to the pasta, finishing with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
