The Castelmagno is one of the noblest cheeses and famous of alpine tradition Italian. It comes from Valgrana in Piedmont and is produced with cow's milk, possibly with the addition of sheep's and/or goat's milk in percentages ranging from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 20%.
Castelmagno DOP can only be produced, aged and packaged in the administrative territory of the municipalities of Castelmagno , Pradleves and Monterosso Grana in province of Cuneo .
The product packaged by Gran Cucina is a cream of the prestigious aged cheese, created to season first courses in a simple and quick way or to enrich meat tartare, hamburgers, salads. It will be sufficient to heat it in a pan to obtain a smooth and creamy sauce ready for use.
